I had one of those evenings that is the reason I love photography. Spending the last of a day’s light at the beach, looking at reflections, smelling the salt, analyzing the lines and patterns of the waves, playing with long exposures. My biggest concern is whether my tripod will stop sinking before I trip the shutter.
You know what always makes me smile inside? Cleaning the sand and salt off my tripod when I get home. (what a geek)

I see you took pic of tybee beach. I dont live too far from where I am. I work the army at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield but I go to Savannah,Ga. There are a beautiful places if you come down to Savannah River Street. 🙂

These are really nice, Anne! The first one doesn’t really feel like any other image I’ve seen, looks more like clouds flowing over mountain ridges into a valley than a seascape. I do think i prefer the third over the second; it manages to be the most literal of the bunch while still remaining plenty abstract.
Hey Jackson! I love doing this panning technique because every single frame turns out different. I really like the first image, but it would be almost impossible to replicate it. You just never know what’s going to happen. It all depends on shutter speed and how fast you pan. It sure is fun though. Thank you very much for your comments.
