Well that was fun. I just signed up for a free wordpress account and boldly started going where I had never gone before, madly customizing my theme and inserting my first photo when I saw that I had just used 920kb of my free 3gb of space. Doh! I should have installed this on my own server!! After all, these photos are going to take up space after awhile I dont want to have to pay for space or try to move my blog later. Better get it right the first time.
Of course when I set it up on my own server, the same theme wasn’t available. So I had to search around the web-o-sphere to find a copy of it and install it myself. And then the tool to easily customize the header wasn’t available so I had to figure that out and replace the image myself via ftp. Good thing I know how to do that stuff due to my day job.
So now, I hope, I am ready.
