Somewhere near Yaqui Well Nature Trail

Dental Update

Teeth are just a bad design don’t you think? You may recall that last year I went to Mexico to get 8 crowns done. Well it turns out that half of them weren’t quite right and I just returned and got 4 of them done again.

I wouldn’t necessarily call that bad though since I’ve had a 50% failure rate on crowns done at home, I saved $10,000 by getting them done in Mexico, and they had a warranty so I didn’t have to pay anything today. I just hope this is the end of it.

I think it would be better if we were designed like sharks who have many layers of teeth and when one is bad it just falls out and another one takes its place.

If you’re interested in the details about where we went in Los Algodones, Mexico, Ray has a full write up on his blog.

Today’s Photo: Somewhere near Yaqui Well Nature Trail

I made this photo when I thought I was on the Yaqui Well Nature Trail in Anza Borrego State Park, California. Actually, I was not on the nature trail, I took a right turn somewhere and started following this wash up a mountain and I climbed up and up and up wondering where on earth the well was. I finally turned around when the sun started to go down so I wouldn’t have to find may way around all the prickly cacti in the dark!

It’s a good thing I didn’t know I was lost or I might have been worried about it.

I’m late to your show, but enjoy your blog and photos.
This on is quite nice I like the foreground, middle ground and background All could be separate photos! Side lighting/backlighting silhouettes Very well done

  2. I know what you mean about teeth, I’ve had problems with mine since I was a little bebe. No enamel on the majority of my baby teeth, then braces & headgear (luckily only worn at night) in my teens, and more throughout my adulthood, ugh… stupid teeth.
