Cannon Beach, Oregon, in the Fog

I have so much to catch up on! It’s hard to believe it’s been almost 4 weeks since we left home, finally, and I haven’t posted any photos from this snowbird season yet.

After arriving in Port Angeles, we drove right through Washington to Seaside, Oregon, where we left the RV for a couple of days so we could go and celebrate at one of our favourite places, Cannon Beach.

We had a lot to celebrate including my clean bill of health, our 10th anniversary and my birthday!

Cannon Beach has always been one of our favourite stopping places on the Oregon coast, and this year we decided to get a beautiful beach front hotel room so we could spend some quality time enjoying the surf and sand.

One thing about the Oregon coast is you never know what you are going to get. It is often rainy, foggy or windy, and once in awhile the sky opens up and you get a glorious sunny day. But no matter the weather, it is always fantastic. You just have to be ready to make the most of whatever the coast has to offer you on the day you are there.

This time we had fog and little drizzle, but we loved it.

  1. Canon Beach brings back a lot of memories for me. We were married 51 years ago in Astoria and spent lots of time along the coast. You have made some beautiful shots. Congrats on your 10 years 🙂

    1. Hey Len, maybe you stayed in the same place we did. There are a few of them right along beach, I’m sure they are all gorgeous but we loved our time at Ocean Lodge. Thanks for the compliment on the photo 🙂
