I made this image during my visit to Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge in Florida.

Thank you very much Marc. It was nice that the light was perfect for capturing the blue water. Lots of times if it is just a little brighter the water appears grey and it isn’t nearly as nice.
This is amazing…the waterline is so invisible that you can’t be sure where the real bird and its reflection meet!

Thank you very much Michael. I remember trying to backup into the bushes so I could get the whole reflection in the frame. Sometimes with that 400mm lens I was too close. But I’m not complaining about it 😉

Hi Steve, thank you very much. I had lots of opportunities while I was in Florida. I went back to this wildlife refuge 3 times before I got the still water I wanted for these reflections. I was using a 400mm f/5.6L lens. It is much smaller and lighter than the f/2.8 (I think it’s 2.8) but I find the aperture perfect. I would want to haul around the heavier lens. I made these reflection images handheld.
