Waterfall at Western Brook Pond

Blue Denium Falls are visible from water level at Western Brook Pond in Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland. We took a boat tour operated by BonTours and it was a fun way to spend the afternoon. Unfortunately at this time of year, they only have one trip per day and it leaves at 1pm, so no sweet light for me!

The boat tour is one of the park’s top attractions and it is well deserved. You have to hike 3km on a gentle trail to get to the boathouse where the tour begins. I guess that would be a long way to carry a kayak because I didn’t see any kayakers at all on the lake.

    1. Hi Toad, well I think you and Mrs. Toad need to take a trip out east, I can just imagine what you could do with these landscapes with your lens!

    1. Hi Len, Ya, why don’t these tour operators understand?? Although getting out there in time probably would have meant getting up at 3am and leaving the dock in the dark. Hmm, no wonder people go hiking and sleep in tents! I think that’s the only way you can get the truly stunning images.
